It is located on the Altmarkt, occupying the first and second floors of the historic end building. From the museum, there is a view of the Kulturpalast and Schloßstraße. The museum can be reached in just three minutes from the Frauenkirche at Neumarkt; it is a two-minute walk from Postplatz and barely four minutes from the Zwinger. The new museum is part of the Altmarkt-Galerie.
Yes, absolutely. The museum features engaging, hands-on exhibits and includes several interactive stations. A delightful section of its own is dedicated entirely to children.
Yes, with some limitations. The first upper floor of the exhibition is accessible via one large and one small elevator, while the second upper floor is accessible via a small one. Visitors using a wheelchair or a rollator are unable to visit three of the 13 stations. The emergency exits do not have a separate elevator.
